PLEI formed as a not-for-profit foundation to advance the leadership, educational and other benevolent missions of the Phi Delta Chi Fraternity in 1996. The inaugural meeting of the Board of Directors of the Pharmacy Leadership & Education Institute, Inc., was held during APhA’s 143rd Annual Meeting in Nashville, March 1996.
The Institute serves multiple charitable and educational purposes, across the whole profession. While our roots came from Phi Delta Chi, our present mission spans the profession. We focus on developing holistic leaders among healthcare professionals. We seek to empower pharmacists by providing immersive, transformative content that inspires growth of the leader within. We strive to offer content that innovates, by encouraging creativity and critical thinking.
PLEI coordinates the Prescott Pharmacy Leadership Award, Leader Development Seminars, and other educational events. PLEI aims to facilitate Phi Delta Chi’s vision to empower Brothers to lead across all stages of life.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recognizes the Institute as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization; EIN 58-2296988.
